Usually not, and this is the single most common way a compliant brand becomes a non-compliant one. Each platform licenses music for use on itself. A track taken from one in-app library and re-posted elsewhere leaves that license behind.
Do we need to audit every platform, or just the big ones?
Exposure sits wherever content is published, not wherever the audience is largest. A quiet LinkedIn page with unlicensed audio carries the same legal problem as a busy TikTok account — and it is usually the platform nobody is watching that has gone unreviewed longest.
Does a business account see the same music library as a personal one?
No. Personal accounts generally reach the full catalog; business accounts are restricted to a commercial-use selection. A track that appeared for the person who posted it may never have been cleared for your brand, and being visible in the app is not the same as being licensed to you.
