Well, we've got answers
We run separate accounts per market. Does that spread the risk?
It multiplies it. Each regional account is its own publication, and a track cleared for one territory may not be cleared for another. Auditing a sample tells you almost nothing about the estate.
Our content is filmed in our own venues, with our playlist running. Does that count?
Yes. In-venue music is licensed for the venue, and that license does not travel to a video you post. Kitchen footage, service shots, and launch events all pick up whatever is playing, and it lands in scope exactly as a track added in the edit would.
Our agency produced the campaign. Aren't they liable?
Your contract may allocate the cost, but rights holders generally pursue the brand whose name is on the post. An indemnity matters after a claim lands; it does not stop one arriving.
The clip only uses a few seconds of a song. Does that matter?
Length is not a defense. Short clips and fragmented use are among the most actively pursued infringements, precisely because they are the easiest to detect at scale.
What do we actually do with the posts you flag?
Each one comes with a recommended action — remove, replace the audio, or leave in place where exposure is low. We never touch your accounts: the access and the decision both stay with you.
